So I got a Zumba Fitness Wii game for Christmas...and i tried it out today...wow is that a workout!!! Don't worry, i'm not cheating on Crossfit...LOL...i'm still an addict! But i do love to dance as a form of exercise and Zumba kicked my butt today! awesome!!! It was a wonderfully hard 25 minute workout. Felt awesome afterward!
Todays Food Diary
Breakfast: whole wheat english muffin with peanut butter and honey and a little orange (cutie)
Snack: one of my awesome homemade protein bars
Lunch: small salad and small portion of lasagna
(gotta love leftovers)
snack: more oranges (i'm getting a sore on my tongue from eating too many) LOL!!!
Dinner: 2 Bean and cheese enchiladas and corn with a tiny bit of sour cream and texas pete baby!!!
Frozen fruit bar (from real fruit) and Roma

i so want to try zumba! my friend has it for the wii too so hopefully i will get to try it out soon! do you count calories? just wondering if that's something you do or if you just try to gauge your food intake on your hunger cues. there is a cool website that i joined earlier last summer and did for awhile that keeps track of your calories and exercise. it's kind of like a facebook for healthy eating and exercise. it is www.myfitnesspal.com ccheck it out if you want....i think i will start posting my food again on that and keep track of my calories that way. we can be fitness pal friends too! lol!! :)
ReplyDeletei definitely don't count calories...too much work!...i just know i'm eating about 6 healthy times a day, small amounts and i take smaller portions and stop eating (yes it's really hard at first) when i feel satisfied...but now it's a lot easier....used to be when i was eating something really yummy i had to keep going...but now i try to chew slower, enjoy each bite and take smaller portions and NO SECONDS!!! that's huge for me...try to use a smaller plate at meal time to guage how much you should be eating....i did try one of those websites once but i got tired of doing it everyday....but if you want to be sure you're not going over your calorie intake every day...it's a good way to figure out what that looks like for you on a daily basis...if you're getting a good wod in most every day of the week and eating small amounts of healthy stuff throughout the day your metabolism will speed up and keep going and you will be burning calories even when you're not working out...seriously!...that's the trick for me...notice the crossfit pyramid on the right...nutrition is the most important part of this whole thing if you want to see results...you can work your butt off everyday, but if calorie intake of unhealthy things is high every day, results come much slower if at all....you've got momentum now, girl!!!! line upon line,k, just like the gospel!...you're going to the box on a pretty regular schedule...now really try to focus on your diet each day...i know you can do it Liesl!!!! i know it!!!!
